On Saturday, August 1, 2026, the literary recital “The Yellow Window,” by writer Lleny Díaz, will take place in the Artefactus Room. This event has been organized by the Cuatrogatos Foundation, Artefactus Cultural Project, Florida Humanities, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the Jacarlene Foundation, to contribute to the promotion of Miami authors who write and publish in Spanish.

Cuban poet Lleny Díaz, born in Placetas, Cuba, in 1975, has published the books “On My Naked Back Another Silence Lives” (2012), “Collective Placenta” (2016), “The Horses Look at Each Other” (2018), and “Liquid” (2024). Díaz was a finalist for the New Values ​​of Hispanic Poetry Award from Baquiana Editions and the Spanish Cultural Center in Miami in 2012. She has also published in print and online magazines in Cuba, Spain, and the United States.
