Artefactus Cultural Project
No me beses en el cuello

The Artefactus Cultural Project presents “Don’t Kiss Me on the Neck,” a play written and directed by Eddy Díaz-Souza, a theatrical work that intertwines myth and contemporary reality in a journey through memory, displacement, and survival.

The piece will be presented in Miami, at the Artefactus Cultural Center, from April 9 to 12, and will then travel to Vienna, Austria, where it will run from April 16 to 19, establishing a theatrical dialogue between the two cities.

The project is part of an international cultural exchange promoted by the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs through its Cultural Exchange Program (ICP), which selected the proposal in its call for submissions. This artistic encounter is also made possible with the interest and support of VIBRIA | Kunst- und Kulturverein, a Viennese cultural organization that helps strengthen the ties that art can forge between Miami and Vienna.

The production is also sponsored by the National Latinx Theater Initiative, an organization dedicated to promoting the presence and development of Latino theater in the United States.

Inspired by the mythical fall of Troy and the human journeys of exile that traverse our time, *Don’t Kiss Me on the Neck* unfolds a poetic universe where the ancient and the contemporary coexist in the same symbolic landscape. The dramaturgy prioritizes the musicality of language and a stage atmosphere that transforms language into space and memory.

The production features two international casts: Laura Alemán and Rei Prado (United States) and Ily Batista and Carlos Manuel Delgado (Austria), alternating performances in Miami and Vienna.
The set design is by Carlos Artime, and the executive producer is Carlos Arteaga.
