Born in Camagüey in 1953, Aisar Abdalá Jalil Martínez has built an artistic career that spans more than five decades of plastic exploration, combining academic influences with a contemporary sensibility. His training began at the Professional School of Arts in Camagüey, and then continued at the National School of Art in Havana. Later, he perfected his style at the prestigious Repin Academy of Fine Arts in Leningrad (USSR), where he obtained the title of Master of Fine Arts in 1983. This period of study in the former Soviet Union marked a turning point in his career, providing him with a rigorous technical foundation and an international perspective on the visual arts.
