Efraín Chibas is a Cuban pianist, composer, arranger, and music producer, trained at the National School of Art (ENA) and a graduate in Musical Composition from the Higher Institute of Art in Havana. His career blends Cuban music, jazz, and other contemporary influences, leading him to collaborate with renowned artists such as Kelvis Ochoa, Descemer Bueno, Diana Fuentes, Mayito Rivera, and Raúl Paz, among others. As a musician, composer, and producer, he has participated in recording projects and performed on important international stages and festivals, including the Kennedy Center, WOMAD, the Cervantino International Festival, and the New Orleans Jazz Festival.
This Friday, September 4, Efraín Chibas will be our special guest at ARTEFACTUS Cultural Center, where he will perform a selection of pieces on the piano during the opening night of “What Fire Reveals,” an exhibition by artist Silvi Lott.
