“Landscape in a postcard”, poetic reading by the writer Carlos Pintado, author of “Cuaderno del falso amor impuro” and “Música para cuerdas de bamboo”. The title of the event comes from a verse of his own work.
Pintado, born in Pinar del Río in 1974, is a poet, narrator and playwright, and has received recognitions such as the Paz Poetry Prize (2014) and the Sant Jordi International Poetry Prize (2007). His texts have been published in media such as The New York Times and The American Poetry Review, and part of his work has been set to music by prominent chamber music ensembles in the United States. In this meeting, he will read selected poems from several of his books. The activity is free and is carried out in collaboration with the Cuatrogatos Foundation, with the support of Florida Humanities and the National Endowment for the Humanities.
