Havanafama, in co -production with Project Cultural Artifactus, presents ballad of a summer, the work of Cuban playwright Héctor Santiago, under the direction of Juan Roca. This set the reunion with an author of exile and with a piece that dialogues intensely with the present.
The action begins with the return of Santiago, after a long absence, to the house where it grew. There is waiting for her sister Teresa, clinging to the routines and the remains of a life marked by scarcity and resistance. The reunion is rough: not only the years have created distance, so have made political decisions, family silences, the weight of religion and discomfort against difference.
